I'd suggest a swamp cooler of some sort, but with the humidity where you are
I doubt that it would do any good :>

While awaiting parts to get my van running I am wondering what great
improvisations (aka 'farkle') members of the group have made to keep cool in
a vanagon, since my a/c still needs repairs I am particularly interested in
any sort of 'windconditioning'. It is 88F now and the summer in New Orleans
has not started.
