I subscribed to Carfax before buying my Weekender - let me know if you
have any questions about the service. I have a few more weeks on it I
think.

I would say that it is very good at picking out questionable history. I
bid on a Westy in San Antonio and decided when it got to $2800 that I'd
check it out. When I did, I found out that the Westy had a salvage
title. Which isn't saying anything terribly wrong - other than that
information was not disclosed by the dealer. I didn't bid on it further
- which eventually went above $4200.
