Subject:Air-cooled Oil Capacity - More info
From:Justin M. Mayrand

Hi All,

OK, here is some more info to add into the mix.

The dipstick is approx. 54.7 CM long as measured from the bottom of the
rubber "stopper". I *did* check it with the van level, but Stan gave me
an idea - I also pull the strainer when I change to oil - is that taken
into account for VW's 3.7 quart capacity? If not, that may be it.
