The idea here, to perhaps clarify, is that when you whack the dowel you're
applying pressure to the grease.  A lot of it, suddenly.  The grease has
nowhere to go, so it forces the bearing out.  It's really pretty simple,
and quite clever.  I wonder who the first guy to think of this was?
