Thanks to everyone who wrote to offer such great
advice.  It sounds do-able, but not necessarily
advisable - particularly since my Vanagon's a high top
Adventurewagen, which gets hit even harder by wind
from the side.  So I'll pass on this bright idea, and
work instead on learning to *like* my Big Wheel.  ;)
