Before you insert the hex tool you need to clean out the bolt head so the
tool will seat- I have a socket driver on an extension and I tap this down
with a hammer before wrenching it off.

If the hex head is stripped, I use a 12 point and seat this also with a
hammer. An impact driver may also be used.

I have not ever had one that would'nt come off using these tools.

3 days and $250 in tools later I'm one bolt away from removing the
passenger side rear side. Let me re-phrase, this is the "proverbial" last
bolt!! The bolt is now somewhere between 1/4 and 6.5mm in size and closer
to sending me to the nut house! Any tricks short of C-4??

I'll probably end up buying new CVs but I will go thru the exercise at
least to save my pride.

Thanks,
