Our 88 Vanagon runs real good now that we replaced the transmission, but it tends to overheat while stuck in traffic or at a long signal light. The temperature gauge goes up considerably. We have found the only way to get the temp down again is to turn on the heater, which causes a lot of discomfort during the summer months. Any ideas on how to correct this problem? Thanks, Robert Mendonca 88 Vanagon 85 Vanagon
