Well, in celebration of a succesful Subaru/Westy conversion
we are planning a road trip...

My sweetie has friends in Twisp, WA and we are going for a
visit. We'll head north and probably spend a couple nights
in Redding,CA and from there head north into OR and
probably spend 3 days making our way up through WA
to Twisp.  We would like to spend our nights at some nice
quiet campgrounds, and drive our days along some nice
scenic routes. That's what a Westy is for, right?

So... the question for you folks in the PNW is... (you know
it already...) Once we leave Redding and head north, what
would be a nice route to take that would give us a bit of
local beauty and be likely to land us in a nice place to sleep
at nightfall? Any "must see" bits of natural beauty or the
like that we should catch while we are passing through?
It's a 2 way trip, so it might be nice to take a different route
up and back....
We'll hopefully be leaving sometime around the first week of
July and spend about 4 days in each direction plus a few
days in Twisp.

Any good advise from you Wet Westy types out there?
