The Oregon Coast is obviously highly recommended. We've also discovered a great drive through old-growth forest around Eugene, Oregon. The section we drove has hot springs at either end of it. The campsites were practically deserted, but heavily wooded and along one of the many forks of the Willamette River. Here's a link to the Aufderheide Memorial Drive: http://gorp.com/gorp/activity/byway/or_aufde.htm Cappy Hamping.
