----------------------------clip------------------------------- I Say: I wish you had that engine condition too! As far as I figure, we would have had almost a day more of relaxation on the beach and at camp had I not been stuck following your slooooow van up the Baja hills and stopped for emergency road side repairs (he he). You know I am kidding you Ben - I would not change anything about the trip, broken down on the beach in Carlsbad, or putting along in Mexico, I loved every minute of it. Good to know you're in tip-top shape again - Now you can get back in a Vanagon ;-). Let's go to Baja again - we still have 10 months left of insurance! For those of you looking for a great trip in a Westy - I would highly recommend Baja Mexico. Great camping, wonderful scenery, and cheap food and drink. Write me for recommendations. Cheers, Derek '84 Westy Wolfy Tiico -----------------------------clip-------------------------------^ Does that Tiico still smoke in the back Derek???? (he he he), by the way, what the hell is a Tiico? Farm engine? (he he he) Yea, i agree, i took a ride with Derek Van and the Tiico was prety powerful (2.0L), looks quit reliable too. You made it home, me too, so afterall VW are not so bad. They have their weakness, but, they are pretty dam cool! Not many 20/30 years old vehicle would have made a 10k miles runs, especialy mine, with 1 cylinder working, well, that about 15hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's good you were there...other can believe my story now, what a trip, i would do it gain tomorrow...whit you guys. I would recommend Baja to anyone too! Ok Stan, i wont drive my Bus more than 85 MPH, i will stop at 84 (he he he) Later, Ben
