I stand corrected, but I think still confused. My friend's van DOES have a later strans in it, however I believe the shifter was replaced at some point to the later style. This is a van that started life as a diesel, was converted by the PO to a 1.9 gas and then into an I4 beasty to where it is now. Fun! john
