What we in Sacramento mostly do for fun is leave Sacramento [in our vans of
course, especially in the summer.

If you insist the capitol is pretty neato, redone about 20 years ago and a
beautiful job.  If you run or bike the American River bike trail is really
nice.

Tahoe is close and the coast is about the same time away.
