I can endorse the bleach method. I had the canvas off my van so it was easy to take of the roof and let a concentrated bleach soln soak into the fuzzy roof. I previously cleaned off most of the mold with 'starbrite' mildew cleaner that another on this thread recommended. That worked faster and easier than the bleachb and would be my choice in future esp if the roof was staying on the van. It took more than one bottle to do my entire roof. Neither chemical appears to have changed the colour of the fabric or had any adverse affect. I did hose it repeatedly to rinse.
