Subject:Valve adjustment; Preliminary results.
Date:Sat, 12 Jul 2003 08:34:24 -0400

Greetings and Salutations:

I adjusted the valves as per Bob Donald's post of lately to
006". I performed a compression test immediately before and
after. There was no noticable change in performance or
noise. If nothing else I am hoping it will reduce the
occasional lifter leakdown. The engine has 230K miles on it,
here are the results in psi:

Cylinder Before After
1 130 140
2 155 170
3 165 185
4 155 175

I'll will return results of of any gas mileage improvements
when available. Any comments welcome.
