i've just set the mail to digest...

I had thought that it would be grouped by subject but
its not... so when I reply, I'm replying to the whole
set of topics in a digest... and so I have to write in
the topic... but if my phrasing differs then it may
appear to be a part of a different thread.. so is
there a command/option that I'm missing?
