To echo Jeff's comments, the Washington DC area isn't the greatest for
junkyard finds. The best is probably Brandywine Auto Parts (multiple
locations over in Maryland), but very few Vanagons show up. There is
(or was) a junkyard down in Woodbridge, but it wasn't a pick it
yourself type of place. Next nearest I know of is down towards
Charlottesville (had 5 or 6 Vanagons there) but again, you can't pick
it yourself. Supposed to be a good one up in Frederick, Maryland, but I
don't get up that way all that often.
