I just finished changing all the fuel lines on my Type IV engine. I was really surprised when I tried twisting the injector hoses off and they just broke all apart. (They weren't leaking, and nothing else was.) I was really surprised when I split the fuel lines, like skinning a snake and opened them up ........ they just broke clear through to the fabric. Absolutely a fire in the making. I was really surprised that this thing didn't burn last year before I bought it. What a mess................. If you get a used Vanagon, replace the fuel lines before you change the oil. (Subject Type IV engine 1976, doubt the fuel lines had ever been replaced) The new fuels on old lines is particularly a possible flames situation. OK Back to Friday .............. I'll try to lighten up a bit. Stan Wilder ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
