I have this problem with the stock mirror on my Honda Civic.  It's a
common complaint in cars with low roofs.

BTW, how does the stock mirror's mount work?  Does it just thread into the
roof?  Is the nut captive or does the headliner need to be dropped to get
a backup wrench up there?
