Oh...I don't know Stan...maybe post a question to the list about what
might cause abnormally high
pressures...maybe get to a mechanic that can solve the issue before she
blows to smithereens...
What does one usually do when a gauge gives abnormally high readings???

I can envision a professional transmission shop testing transmissions
before they are delivered, either on the bench or in the van but I've
just never heard of anybody monitoring tranny fluids even on Indy or
other endurance cars.
I can testify that many transmissions have coolers and motor homes have
add on coolers for providing cooler transmissions and possibly a longer
life, but I've never seen a pressure gauge or temperature gauge on race
cars or motor homes.
