List,

I performed the test of the rad fan last night on our '87 Westy (with A/C),
as listed on Ken's website. I could only get the fan to come on at 1 speed,
and I think it was probably high speed. I'm pretty sure my fan resistor's
bad. In fact, I have a new one on the way already. Given that the
resistor is bad, is this what should have happened??? Will the other
speed(s) not work until the resistor is replaced or did the test show other
problems with the fan/wiring/relays, etc???? I can never get our van hot
enough to have the high speed come on of it's own accord so I can verify if
it was high speed I was witnessing. Also I've heard that there is a
pressure relief valve on the receiver/dryer for the A/C. Can anyone confirm
this??? Is it the nipple the protrudes from the top of the dryer???

TIA,
Rod Woten
