Subject:Re: [WetWesties] Ever install a CD changer under the front seats?

I've done just such an installation on my '90, with an Alpine changer, and it seems to work great.

I am going a bit further with my installation. First, I covered the entire area with Dynamat. I've bought a second battery, and intend to install it with a cut-off switch so that I can disconnect it from the rest of the system to keep as a reserve when parked for camping. There is also room under this seat for a sub-fuse-panel for other electrical additions, and possibly a small inverter.

Photo available on request.

I've done it with no problem in a '91. Discs can skip
though, so I'd to fit padding under it as possible, and/or
a rubber grommet so the screws don't cinch the changer down
  metal-to-metal.
