A few days ago I got my new sliding door bumper strip from Camelback VW
in Tucson. Just got it installed a short time ago, and WOW!!!! What a
difference in the way the door shuts.!!

It's a good thing to check and be sure there is one, bwcause without it
your sliding door locking mechanism is on it's way to failure. The piece
only cost about  $3.95. Definitely worth getting.
