Jeff: FWIW. There is an official Interstate Battery factory outlet near me in San Gabriel-looks like a distributorship or something.  I think it's on Mission. (Therefore, not too far from you if you live in L.A.)  I've always been tempted to check them out, but I haven't needed to buy a battery for any of my vehicles in years. Maybe check them out and see if there are any good deals. (There is a sign on the side of the building that says Interstate batteryies as low as $19.00)  Let us know if you go down there.
