Thanks for the suggestions from all - I got a used U joint from Malahat
Auto Parts today ($45, better than 225 from the stealer), and the steering
is nice a tight again. While there, I looked briefly at a complete Vanagon
diesel conversion kit that just came out of a Diesel Westy. If anyone is
interested in doing an I-4 conversion, they want $995 CDN for the whole
kit, hoses included. I want it, but don't have the time or money right now...
