I just wanted to post a positive report about two Vanagon friendly shops.

Weddle Transmissions in Goleta, CA. and Cory Motors in Santa Barbara, CA.

I had Weddle outfit a south African 5spd transmission with od 5th and
syncro locking differential, and Cory motors did the installation along
with a new clutch in my 2wd Westy.

Both vendors were courteous, friendly, did super work, and had fair prices.

I heartily recommend these guys.
