I'm looking at putting a new house battery system in my adventurewagen and would like to use the the alternator to charge one or maybe 2 gel cell batteries. To do this I would need to have my alternator converted to P from N then use a regulator to charge the batteries. The person I spoke with at the marine/RV store said this could be done at an alternator shop. Has anyone done this? I guess the other option could be 110v when at home and solar when I'm camping. JFF
