Subject:Troubleshooting drinking water pump
From:Roger Donahe

Hi all,

I recently bought an '87 Westy. She's in great shape and most systems are
functional and fine. However the drinking water doesn't flow when I turn the
faucet on to Tank. I've been troubleshooting the system and have come across
a piece which has me puzzling.

Inside the cabinet adjacent to the water tank where you can access the
wiring to the water level sensors, there is a small black plastic box
mounted to the wall under the hose from the outside water fill hookup. This
black box has green, white, yellow & black wires coming out. The green,
white & yellow wires are all connected to water level sensors. The black
wire, however, looks like it may have broke or been cut as it goes nowhere,
has no connector on the end, and seems too short to connect anywhere anyway.
If color logic follows I'm guessing that this black wire connects to the
bottom water level sensor which has a black connecting wire coming from the
little harness.

Does anyone know what this black box is and where I should connect the
mysterious black wire?

Thanks,
-Roger
