I have a full camper and a 7 passenger .... the 2 extremes. I need the 7 pass for hauling big things and for when we have visitors .... more seating .... but I love the kitchen in the Westy for traveling/camping. We cook anything and everyting on the stove and have never had an odor problem. Keeping everything clean along with a shot of Febreze every now and then probably helps. This summer we had guests and, because the A/C was working in the Westy, I took the middle seat out of the 7 pass and put it into the camper which made it a 6 pass. I do wish the 7 pass had the rear seat that makes into a bed, though. On those occassions where I do use it for trips it would be nice to stretch out during breaks. If I had to have just one Vanagon (7 pass ... half camper ... full camper) I'd opt for the full camper. I'm just glad I don't have that restriction. Mike '84 GL 7 pass auto '85 GL Westy 4 spd
