The need for the search tool is in compiling this list of already submitted articles. We have a huge archive and it would be a pity to not make use of it for this project. My suggestion the last several times this came up was to publish this group or articles on CD, so that it could be tossed in a glovebox when on journeys. A negative to the project is the liability of bad advice. I'd suggest that we nominate a review board to verify that the articles published be, if not correct, at least not dangerous to the driver/mechanic. Start with categories (ie: Rust Prevention, Maintenance, Fuel, Suspension, Brakes) and then accept contributions for each area. In many cases the type2.com articles could be used for issues like Por-15 and whatever else applies. Start from scratch, put it into categories and no search tool will be required. So if you need to know about brakes, well you look in the brake index, etc.... Just add a link to 'Library' under the vanagon.com mainpage and get is going from there. :) - Shawn.
