To the best of my knowledge the curtains should be threaded onto the
wires (windows). On my 91 the passenger side wasn't, but I suspect they
had been removed once for washing. I removed all the curtains (except
the one behind the cabinet) and washed them on the gentle cycle. They
were surprisingly dirty (I hadn't realized how much until after I
washed them.)
