Great News!  I spoke to Peter Tuesday after returning from 3 months in
Scandinavia, and he told me he had just gotten word that day that his TiiCo
Test Vehicle had passed the CARB California emissions test with flying colors.
[I would have sent this message sooner, but my luggage with laptop was delayed
in transit.[

He is trying to get CARB to speed up issuance of the Certification notice,
which usally takes a month.  He thinks they will do this because it turned out
they erroneously made him jump through many more hurdles than he should have.
They were forcing him to meet the automobile requirements, when the Vanagon
only needed to meet the light truck requirements.  His test results were
incredibly clean compared to the requirements for light trucks.

I've been holding off actually installing my TiiCo, but now I'm going to press
ahead.
