actually ive had quite a few vans from Coastal California that had
substantial rust under the window seals from the ocean salt water in the air weeping
under the window seals in the form of dew or condensation running off the rest of
the vehicle surfaces..  or from being deposited there by rain, in the rare
event it does rain in SoCal..      Tho the rockers/doglegs/underbody of those
vans are always rust free.
