Hi all: Just back from the shakedown 4.5k miles trip with "la ballena azul" and her new 1.9 overland diesel. She did quit well and took the hills considerably better than the 1.6 that was replaced. We towed a trailer (about 800-900lbs) and got between 28 and 30 per gallon. Anyone with a tired 1.6, I can recommend the 1.9 and a superior replacement (it was $1,200 more than the 1.6 though). Have begun x'ing the oil every 2k. But still can't get the @#%*#ing fridge lit on propane. And I take note of David B's bumper sticker - where did you find it?
