<P>i guess my message was not clear enough. </P>
<P>i only remove the drum, not the wheel hub.&nbsp; the drum sits on the hub and that is what it siezes onto.&nbsp; i am looking for a way to keep it from corroding to the hub</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;Jason;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Everytime I work on the Vanagon rear brakes I just remove
<DIV></DIV>&gt;the drum and not the splined hub. Much, much easier. They
<DIV></DIV>&gt;are two seperate pieces. On the other hand, yes, I see no
<DIV></DIV>&gt;reason why you couldn't use some anti-sieze.

<DIV>Hey all,</DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt;
<DIV>Everytime i have removed drums on any of my vans, the </DIV>&gt; &gt; drums are always seized in the center around the wheel
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; hub.&nbsp; it usualy takes a lot of whacking and talking
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; dirty to it before it releases.&nbsp; anywho, is it
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; exceptable to put a very fine layer of grease or
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; something&nbsp;on the wheel hub groove where the drum
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; sits?&nbsp; or will this grease eventually through
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; centrifugal force work its way to the shoes and cause the
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; brakes to squeak?&nbsp; or should i just suck it up and
<DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; deal with corroded drums?
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>thanks</DIV>
