They are available through the dealer. Bring money. Also, they are secured with 2 Philips head screws. Plan on some heat and an impact driver to remove them. 6mm X 15 thread will replace them, there is enogh room for hex heads. I suggest Stainless steel and anti-seize. They help deflect water and dirt from directly spraying onto the rotors. A water splash with hot rotrs can cause warping/cracking. I suggest repacing them. I will be replacing the calipers some time this fall and was thinking it might be good to replace those guards. I have not looked very extensively at web sites or at local FLAPS to see if they are available, are they even very important? I guess just in rainy weather, no? Any ideas on sources of good replacements? Thanks -- Dan Erlandson Flemington, NJ > danoer1@eclipse.net 91 VW Vanagon GL 174,000 mi 99 VW Passat 111,000 mi
