Subject: 1 - power; 2 - cooling; 3 - weekender

3 questions..

1 - is there a noticeable difference between the power
of a 1.9L and a 2.1L? hills, mileage, etc..?

Not a big difference, but definitely a noticeable one. I pulled the
worn out 1.9 from my '85 Westy, and while it was out, I had the tranny
rebuilt with a .77 4th gear. I don't think the 2.1 would have been able
to push the higher gear very successfully.

2 - what are the advantages/disadvantages of having a
water-cooled versus air-cooled?

Constant engine component temperature - much easier on valves, seats,
etc.

3 - why, if the camper westfalias have more 'stuff',
do the weekenders seem to cost more; what is a 'fair'
price for a weekender? (i'm in norcal)

Dunno. This has not been my observation.

i'm sorry if this sounds like a essay question on a
westfalia high school exam... any response is
appreciated.

thanks
