i assume you mean automatic..  as there was a 5speed offered that year also.
 is yours doing the 2nd gear slam?  its when the auto tranny shifts hard into
2nd gear when the rpm's are low.    anything used will be a crapshoot since
this is a common problem on the 93's.  did you buy a  MV or a GL?
