Jim, if not already done, install a Mahle or Mann oil filter - they are
the only ones to every use .. lots of reasons why but just do it. Also
change oil to 20W50wt Dino oil or Mobil 1 15W50 synthetic. I recently
changed to the synthetic at 40,000 miles on a new engine. It was using a
bit of oil, but now with the Mobil 1 it has been reduced to negligeble

Thse two steps should stop the clackiing problem.
