I have the water pump in and its good to go. Again the pipe running from the right of the pump gave me trouble. The small pipe from the top of the pump didn't disappoint me until I started the van up the first time. The glob of metal at one end was brazed and the pipe was rusty. I took it off, ground off the rusty parts and the brass and welded it back together. I have to say my welding skill isn't usually up to this kind of task but with patience I managed to rebuild nearly a quarter inch of pipe. But it works. Now for the bad news and questions. My power steering pump is making noises. It wasn't before. Did I over tighten the belt? Is my pump going? It's really a nasty noise, but only when I'm turning the wheel.
