I heard that Jerry, of Northwest Connecting Rod fame, wanted a performance waterboxer. So, he built a 2.1 with solid lifters, an Engle 110 cam, and dual 40 IDF Weber carbs. All of these parts borrowed of course from the type 1 parts bin. I have never spoken to Jerry about this because I moved from Seattle a good 8 years ago, but I heard it worked pretty good.
