There are two state parks N. of SM on PCH. ( actually, they're a little N. of Malibu ) I've stealth-camped in Malibu by just pulling over next to the coastal bluffs on the PCH - no one bothered me, but it was very noisy. --- On Fri 09/26, Jeff Oxroad < Oxroad@AOL.COM > wrote: From: Jeff Oxroad [mailto: Oxroad@AOL.COM] To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Date: Fri, 26 Sep 2003 11:04:34 EDT Subject: Re: Camping near Santa Monica? The closest place I know to Santa Monica is Malibu RV Park. Pricey as I
recall at about $35 a night. It's a state park at Sycamore Beach for about $10 a night. This is up near
Pt. MAgu. Really kind of a hike from Santa Monica.

I haven't been camping in the area in a while so this all is based on my
feeble memory. I hope it helps.

Best
Jeff
83.5 Westly
LA,CA
_______________________________________________
