Be really careful with tightening the tension nut on these mirrors...the 10mm nut rusts, and breaking the threaded shaft while trying to move the nut is really easy to do. I've done it twice, even after soaking the assembly in penetrating oil, and using wery light pressure on a small 10mm wrench. Had the Westy out on the weekend, up to Banff for the Melissa's road race (running). On the way up we encountered head and side winds with gusts up to 60-70. Needless to say I did a fair bit of "tacking" to maintain course. Still have the white knuckles. : > Only problem encountered was the drivers side mirror folded back under wind pressure. (100 kph plus the gusts) and now won't maintain position. How do you adjust the tension on these things? TIA Don
