Anybody paid attention to the Saturn ION commercial with the kid about to get married? Saturn states in the ad that the car has electric steering. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of David Brodbeck Sent: Sunday, October 12, 2003 5:39 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Electric Power Steering Pumps On Sunday 12 October 2003 01:02 pm, EMZ wrote: > Electric steering has been around for a few years. I think what he's talking about is a hybrid electric/hydraulic system, where the pump is turned by a motor. I've heard of this on race cars, but I've never heard of it being used on a production car. That's not to say it never happened, though.
