I purchased tghe BQuiet product this spring - because they had a Vanagon on their site and it was cheaper than the stuff from Crutchfield. It is easy to apply and quite time consuming if you are an annal engineer .... like me. I tore out my dash and removed the heater to do the entire cab area. I also took the opportunity to rewire my headlights (new H4s) and add some relays. Now when a bumble bee hits the dash it doesn't shake the entire van. I am slowly working my way backwards and will get to the engine bay sometime this winter. This is great stuff and look form my Syncro pictures on the BQuiet site soon. Cheers and keep quiet. It seems to have made some difference in noise level in the van, but its hard to quantify without a dB level meter. I do think it was worth the $60.00 I spent for it two years ago. There are photos of my van on the b-quiet website on their [Installs] page <http://www.b-quiet.com/vanagon.html>.
