I've had my Vanagon for a two months now - it still has temporary plates. I
received this email from my wife today:

>> Your plates are here. Of course, the van is not!

The van -- which is actually in very fine condition -- is once again in the
shop. We have ancient Volvos - even older than our van - and they are very
rarely in the shop. In a combined 20 years of use, we have been stranded by
the side of the road only once.

This is taking a little getting used to <g>.
