I didn't do this, but a friend did...after Mt. Rushmore, there is
apparently a road into the badlands that is just off the interstate and
east of Mt. Rushmore. He told me it is very cool. Of course, he might
have been describing the view from a small airplane (though I thought
he was talking about driving through it).
