Perhaps powder-coating has come a long way since I last used it, but my experience was mixed at best. I powder coated my off-road race car's frame and my Husqvarna's frame and although they looked wonderful (at first) after a bit of use I started noticing spots where the powder coating was chipping off. Seems that everytime a rock bounced off the frame, a nice chip was taken out of the powder coating, which, I guess, was understandable. The down side was that you can't really touch-up the powder-coated frame. It ended up looking awful after about two years. Kind of like a frame with freckles. Still, it does look really nice when new. Cheers, Jeff
