On my '85, (single wire type O2 sensor) there is a male to male connector
between the two.

Subject: Does O2 sensor plug into green connector?
Hi,
Somehow I ended up with two female connectors - maybe there's supposed
to be some kind of adapter between the two?
The Bentley shows the green connector coming out of the control unit
being a male connector. However my green connector is female. The
connector on the O2 sensor I'm swapping out is also female.
I'm about to splice in a male connector on the O2 sensor and just
wanted to make sure I was going in the right direction.
