Lived in Alaska many years. Put up with a lot of snow. Best solution: Put it in a garage, carport, or what have you. Next best solution: Keep a full size broom in your van. Most Alaskans don't have the luxury of garages or carports. Not all but most. As I was in the group of don't haves. I lived with the broom things for years. Works well. Takes only a couple of minutes to sweep it clean. Full size broom is the ticket. Cheap too, Regards, John Rodgers 88 GL Driver Eric Zeno wrote: > "as anyone tried covering the roof with a tarp and then pulling > the tarp off at the end of the storm" > > > This is a great way to scratch the H$ll out of your paint! > Eric > > > > Lee Kouns wrote: > >> To those in snow country who keep their vans outside: >> I just moved to a snowy location (South Lake Tahoe, California) and >> would appreciate hearing from those who have learned tricks for dealing >> with the large amounts of snow that can accumulate on the roofs of >> Westys.
