Be sure to check and see if the cable end isn't about to wear through the pedal metal itself. I've replaced one like this. A little more wear, and the clutch would have suddenly engaged and stayed that way! ron -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Thompson, Michael Sent: Friday, November 14, 2003 10:30 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Squeeky Clutch Pedal Okay list SOMEONE must have experienced this problem. My clutch pedal squeaks very annoyingly every time I change gear. I have tried squirting all sorts of lubricants from the footwell, but it is a pretty inaccessible place back there. Some things reduce the squeak for a while but then it comes back, especially in the cold. Does anyone know any tips or a simple way to access the pedal axis I may have overlooked (i.e. without removing the dash)? TIA Michael 1981 Westy 'Daisy'
